ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Joe Winfield, a Senior Web, UX and Accessibility Specialist with 14+ years of experience creating accessible, user-focused digital experiences – based in Cork, Ireland.
I’m passionate about inclusive design and improving the way people interact with digital products and services.
My work focuses on accessibility auditing, usability reviews, UX quality assurance, and creating experiences that are intuitive, effective, and built around real user needs.
My background spans freelance, agency, and consultancy environments, with 400+ digital projects delivered for organisations across the public and private sectors. I previously ran my own independent studio, Jaywin Design, for 6 years, and have collaborated with organisations including RazorSpire and Fáilte Ireland on digital transformation, design, and website improvement projects.
I recently completed a Professional Diploma in UX Design with Distinction from the UX Design Institute, further developing my skills in UX research, user testing, interaction design, and evidence-based design.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing guitar and bass, travelling, exploring art and design, listening to podcasts, reading, and getting to gigs whenever I can. I’m also a Cork City FC fan – even when they make it difficult. And yes, before you ask – I’m from Cork. I’ll probably mention it again at some point.
